M5IF Creative Writing Workshop
Duration: 1.5 hours
These workshops offer an opportunity for children and teens to seek out their creative writing skills using the M5IF Book as a base.
The lessons aim to encourage youth to explore how to generate personal ideas and concepts which can be transformed into interesting and creative stories. Often it’s the ideas for writing that can be the most difficult for some children. Our workshops can offer methods for children to come up with ideas based on their own reflections and then develop skills on how to build on those concepts.
The students are given a number of scenarios or activities that can assist them to achieve this. Once the ideas are set and the creative juices are flowing we then teach kids strategies to formulate these into creative and innovative stories that they can relate to and enjoy.

Vision and Goal Workshops
Duration: 1.5 hours
These workshops aim to motivate children and teens to set short and long term goals and objectives by creating mechanisms for vision with the use of positive thinking and planning. The workshop focusses on teaching youth a variety of strategies which enables them to plan their daily lives as well as setting achievements for the future.
The lessons focus on positive thinking whilst encouraging children to follow their passions. We look at the process of setting goals, visualisation, planning, building confidence and understanding and teaching children skills to deal with difficulties that they may face along the way. At the end of each workshop each individual will produce a VISION BOARD to take home and re-use for their future plans and activities. The VISION BOARD is the student’s own personal item that is a creative and interesting tool for them to plan, reflect and celebrate as their goals are achieved.
The sessions will vary depending on the age group so that age appropriate content and skills are addressed.
